Marcello Ghilardi: Philosophy of Japanese Intercultural and Aesthetics

Marcello Ghilardi at Meidea Atelier to talk about "Philosophy of Japanese Interculturality and Aesthetics".

A night to examine this fascinating culture, starting from a photo review of our several travels in Land of the Rising Sun. Ghilardi contextualized the Japanese easthetic throught the centuries, from the great artworks of Hokusai and Hakuin to the Shodō, the art of calligraphy, from the modern Manga and Anime culture to the great masters animation Osamu Tezuka and Hayao Miyazaki.
The conference finished with an overview of Japanese directors: Yasujiro Ozu, Shohei Imamura e Akira Kurosawa.
